Welcome to 2021 RN Huddle listeners! Starting the year off right, the COVID-19 Vaccine is here and health care professionals are getting vaccinated! We here at UNMC and Nebraska Medicine are attempting to get as many colleagues vaccinated as we can. How can we do that? Today’s guest, Nicole Skinner, can tell us! She has been essential in building the schedule of vaccination clinics and making sure those on the frontlines can get their vaccination (if they want to) in a timely manner. We hope you enjoy this episode and we want to thank all front line workers for all of their hard work in the fight against COVID-19!

COVID-19 Review by Nurses on the Front Lines
We interrupt our normal podcast schedule to get you a special episode of RN Huddle. Over the past few weeks, the Coronavirus pandemic has shifted the world’s focus away from the normal way of business. It is important as a health care worker to know what to do and how to help your patients. UNMC has expertise on caring for COVID 19 and other infectious diseases, and are ready to share what they have learned. Today’s RN Huddle reviews our experiences, points to resources you can use, answers to questions from your patients and staff, and other important information. This episode features our very own College of Nursing faculty Dr. Beth Beam, as well as Nebraska Medicine ED nurses Kalen Knight and Shanaz Benner.
